Foundling Museum
London's Foundling Museum pleasantly surprised me with its poignant history and unexpected ties to composer George Frideric Handel. Nestled in the city's heart, it offers a unique glimpse into the past, unraveling the touching tale of the Foundling Hospital. The blend of classic and modern design creates an inviting ambiance. Handel's role in supporting the hospital, coupled with his handwritten music scores, adds a personal touch. While the exhibits are emotionally resonant, a bit more interactivity would enhance the experience. Nonetheless, this museum is a serene haven that unveils London's past and the intertwined threads of charity and art.

Peterhead Prison Museum
A great place to visit. You can learn a lot and see a lot. A lot of facilities are available. You get an audio set which guides you through. There's also a café and a shop. An awesome visit

Milestones Museum
This museum was hands down the best museum I have ever been to. It does not look like much from the outside but once you are inside and onto the streets you are taken back to the 1940There is a pub, cafe, sweet shop and even a place to buy your 30s toysWell worth a visit

Spitfire Visitor Centre Hangar 42
Such a wonderful experience to share a few hours with a team of volunteers who are quite obviously passionate about their museum and it's history. They tell real life stories of our heroic pilots along with the Polish squadrons who were based at the same operational base flying night time fighter sorties out of Blackpool.Fascinating and interesting made all the more marvellous by the enthusiastic team of people here.

Wollaton Hall, Gardens and Deer Park
Absolutely lovely walk around the lake. It doesn’t take long and there are ducks and geese to feed. Keep an eye open for the deer roaming freely on the grounds.Parking isn’t free, it’s £5 flat fee for the whole day even if you arrive late afternoon.There is a cafe and a museum which is great but check the website because it can close on random days.

D-Day Centre & WW2 Museum - Portland, Dorset
This is probably the best interactive WW2 museum that you'll ever find! It's an amazing collection of weaponry, machinery, uniform, and local history, alongside a wealth of knowledge from its staff; It's definitely worth a visit.

National Civil War Centre - Newark Museum
Good for the kids, lots for them to do. There was a guy outside dressed up in civil war uniform who was very chatty about the civil war. I enjoyed the history of Newark part in the museum more than the civil war bits.

Museum of Archaeology • Durham University
An excellent display of local area history and artifacts . Wonderful gallery detailing the history of County Durham and surrounding areas during the ages. Great for kids and adults alike. Located in Palace Green Library,with the DLI , Cosins Library and Heritage center and Durham Cathedral over looking the building. Excellent place to visit,with great staff who are very helpful and friendly.

The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards Regimental Museum
Very impressive Museum , it has a gift shop with reasonable prices.I like very much of the Pipe man at the entrance of the museum .inside the museum you can watch short video of the royal scots dragoon gurds history along with scots royal history.If you like to go through the details at least u must spend morethan one hour.Recommended Place to visit.
