What an amazing place worth a visit so much history and the tour guides were so knowledgeable and friendly. A place you must visit especially book enthusiasts

Main Library
Very large library for use of students from the University of Manchester only. Situated over 5 floors, there are different zones which are colour coded to ease navigation. There are lots of group study rooms, available to book online, as well as hundreds or even thousands of individual study spaces, some which have plug qnd USB sockets. There are lots of maps and signs around to prevent one getting lost. Although it's a very old building and looks quite aged in places, it is very well maintained and clean.

The Feminist Library
I heard about The feminist Library on Twitter, and on a trip to London I decided to visit one evening.It was a little hard to find. the building its in is a sort of community space, and you need to buzz to be let in.Inside it felt like an old school building, and the feminist Library was tucked away o the first floor.There was only a few people there, One lady running the office, and a few more having a meeting in the periodicals room.The lady at the office was very nice and welcoming, she let me into the library space to browse. You enter two rooms filled to the brim with old books. Meticulously organized. Most of these books are quiet old, so you probably won't find many of the current array of feminist books. but it was definitely great to see the space and have a browse of books across such a broad range of topics, from health care to class struggles, poetry, and autobiographies.You can't borrow books from the space, but they hold a book shop every Saturday.

Newcastle City Library
I preferd the old central library, call me old fashioned but I like libraries with books and silence. This modern interpretation of a library is part creche with screaming children, plus I don't like sharing a space with the city's drug addicts. My heart goes out to any students trying to study and to general members of the public who just want some peace and quiet to read and relax.

Dudley Archives and Local History Centre
Spacious and modern archive and worth a visit. I wish the staff were singing from the same hymn sheet. One rather brusque lady told me that digital photos were 5 pounds EACH! But a guy at the desk told me it was only a one time 5 pound fee. Other than this the staff are wonferfully friendly and helpful.
